VOLUNTEERING AT THE STUDENT ORGANIC FARM

There are a lot of tech screws needed when building a greenhouse from scratch....

The Hort Club volunteered out at the Student Organic Farm to help with the construction of a new hoophouse on site.  Special thanks to Dr. John Biernbaum for taking the time to not only give us a tour of the other unique greenhouses in use at the farm, but explaining the varying techniques used in the construction of them and how his experiences have altered those processes over the years.  It was a great experience involving everything from power tools to red wiggler worms and just about everything in between!
