President: Lindsay Daschner

Lindsay is a senior in horticulture. She is a teaching assistant for HRT 211 and HRT 212. Lindsay loves landscape ornamentals and enjoys growing cut flowers in the summer. She is a horse enthusiast and has two mini pigs named Iris and Kalanchoe.



Vice President: Wesley Raker

Wesley is a junior in Horticulture Science. He grew up around horticulture with his family's greenhouse business C. Raker & Sons Inc. His favorite vegetable is broccoli.

 



Secretary: Corinne Tucker

Corinne is a junior and is pursuing a degree in Horticulture with a concentration in Landscape Design, , and Management. She transferred from a community college last year and is excited to finish out her education at Michigan State University. Corinne enjoys working in residential gardens and her favorite plant is the Katsura tree.

 



Treasurer: Kyle Bindseil

Kyle is a second year Landscape and Nursery Management student in the Institute of Agricultural Technology.  He grew up around agriculture on his family's ranch near Austin, Texas.  His favorite vegetable is okra.



Co-Grower: Abby Makowski

Abby is a junior in Horticulture Science with a Minor in Entomology. She is interested in public horticulture as well as zoological horticulture. Her favorite plant is the Tall Stewarita tree.

Neil is a senior in Horticultural Science. Before coming to MSU Neil spent 4 years working in the native plant resotration field at Wildtype Design, Native Plants, & Seed, ltd. Neil is also interested in Sustainable and Organic Horticulture, fulfilling many of his degree requirements with organic horticulture courses and working at the MSU Student Organic Farm.


Webmaster/Historian: Georgina De Moya

Georgina is a junior in Environmental Studies and Agriscience with a Minor in Horticulture. She's an international student from Dominican Republic and hopes to work with food security in developing countries. She also loves bell peppers and purple flowers.



Community Service/Ag. Senate Rep: Keren Terry

Keren Terry is a junior in Horticulture Science and is pursuing a specialization in International Agriculture. She has studied sustainable tropical agriculture in Sri Lanka. After school she would like to go into developmental work where she can help families improve their access to healthy food and increase their income by growing plants. One of her favorite plants is Metasequoia glyptostroboides.



Green Industry Representative: Ben Harcey

Ben is a senior in Horticulture Landscape Design, Construction, and Management. Involved in the industry from an early age, he has worked primarily with landscape maintenance and design build. Following graduation, he plans to be involved in some form of design/construction/sales. 



Advisor: Robert Schutzki

Professor Schutzki is afaculty member at MSU since 1982 with responsibility in teaching and extension. His teaching emphasis includes courses in Landscape Designs and Environmental Design. He is also currently a member of the Michigan Invasive Plant Council. 



Advisor: Bridget Behe

behe@msu.edu

Dr. Behe joined Michigan State in 1997 after working for eight years as Assistant Professor then Associate Professor on the faculty at Auburn University in Alabama.  She earned her Ph.D. from Penn State after earning an M.S. from The Ohio State University.  Before that, she earned simultaneous B.S. degrees, one in horticulture and one in agricultural education, from Penn State University.
